About the girls
One breed we stand behind: the Hy-Line Brown. Friendly, hardy laying hens that can produce around 420 eggs in the first laying season. Your point of lay pullets come to you at around 16 to 21 weeks depending on the batch, reared on our farm with clean surroundings, good feed and solid genetics.
Quick questions
Will they handle Taupō winters?
Yes. Hy-Line Browns are hardy birds - give them a dry, draught-free coop and a 16% protein layer feed and they'll do well year-round. Laying naturally eases in the shorter days unless you add coop lighting.
How many can I order?
No minimum - order one or a dozen.
Do I pay when I order?
No. Ordering secures your birds. Pay cash or Paywave on pickup day, or by bank transfer beforehand.
